Perfect for the "dino-maniac" in your life, the exclusive BIRTHDAY PARTY package features a tour of the Museum with hands-on activities and the rental of a small private room. Tour highlights include: chip away stone from a dinosaur bone, paint a fossil track cast to take home, and a live reptile encounter.
What is included in the “V.I.P. (Very Important Paleontologist-to-be)” Birthday Tour
This two-hour long program consists of hands-on demonstrations with short discussions about fossils, rocks, and reptiles. Participants touch real and cast fossils, feed a lizard, pet a snake, grind stone from dinosaur bone, paint a small cast of a dinosaur track and more. Visitors are then taken behind the scenes, to help out in the Paleo Lab. There, participants will check out the fossils, rocks and minerals that are hidden within the museum’s collection.
Following this tour, your party will retire to the newly refurbished Discovery Outpost, where you have cake and open presents. Please note the Museum does not provide food, decorations, or cold storage.
V.I.P. Birthday Tours must be prescheduled two weeks prior to the desired date. A flat fee of $150 covers admission for up to 25 people, the tour, activities and craft, as well as the room rental. Birthday Parties are available daily from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Add a Dino Grab bag (consisting of small dinosaur toys) for only $4.99 each.
